What problems does Rhinophalt asphalt preservation solve?
- Premature asphalt ageing from oxidation and weathering: UV exposure, oxygen and weather harden the bitumen binder over time, leading to brittleness, cracking and loss of flexibility. Rhinophalt® slows oxidation and restores binder performance, significantly extending surface life.

TransJam Highways – Jamaica
TransJamaican Highway Limited (TJH) is the concessionaire of TransJam Highways, formerly known as Highway 2000 East–West. This was Jamaica’s inaugural toll road and remains the largest infrastructure project in the English-speaking Caribbean.
Mackay Airport, Queensland, Australia
A 2016 Pavement Condition Report on Mackay Airport’s runway 14/32 proposed resurfacing which was planned for 2020/21. The Mackay Airport team started the process of identifying a suitable surface preservation treatment to sustainability extend the life of the runway, last resurfaced in 2010.
M40 Motorway, UK
UK Highways Ltd operate the M40 DBFO, a 123km 3 to 4 lane motorway with average traffic levels on some sections of over 100,000 vehicles per day including in excess of 15,000 commercial vehicles. The M40 encompasses 250 structures and surfacing is mainly SMA installed in 2002, with some original HRA surfacing installed in 1989.
